Game Drives: Your trip would not be complete without going on a game drive. Two game drives are offered per day at Selous Safari Camp and they are accompanied by a guide and driver in a sturdy 4x4 high vehicle, with open sides for excellent vision.
The trips are varied according to where the animals are moving, and are flexibly changed according to the wishes of the client, depending on what you may wish to see.
Boat Trips: Boat trips can be substituted for game drives, if the guests wish it, for their East Africa safari. On the boat trip, the guide points out animals and birds of interest as the boat floats along the enormous river, dwarfed by Baobab and Borassus trees along the banks. The Rufiji boasts enormous numbers of Hippos and Crocodiles.
Walking: Walking safaris can also be substituted for a game drive, for clients staying more than 2 days. When you go on a walking safari, a armed ranger will accompany you.
Fly Camping: Fly camping – where the guests go out with a guide using special mobile tents and their food and drinks are prepared by special staff - is offered on request.
Swimming Pool: There is a beautiful oval blue swimming pool, set above the river, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day after an exciting game drive.
